- 1 packet 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk 110°F / 45°C
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted (plus more for brushing)

Activate the Yeast – In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Make the Dough – In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and melted butter. Stir until a soft dough forms.
Knead – Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead 8–10 minutes (or 5–6 minutes in a stand mixer with a dough hook) until smooth and elastic.
First Rise – Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1–1½ hours, or until doubled in size.
Shape the Rolls – Punch down dough and divide into 12–15 equal pieces. Shape into balls and arrange in a greased baking dish or tray.
Second Rise – Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes until puffy.
Bake – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Finish – Brush warm rolls with melted butter before serving.
