Notes

Tips & Variations

  • Swap the fruit: Try blueberries, raspberries, peaches, or a mixed berry medley.
  • Lemon twist: Add a teaspoon of lemon zest to the cream filling for a bright, fresh touch.
  • Chocolate lovers: Spread a thin layer of chocolate hazelnut spread before adding strawberries.
  • Make it extra crisp: Add a crushed cornflake coating for a delightful crunchy exterior.
  • Dairy-free option: Use plant-based cream cheese and milk — still super delicious!

Storage

This French toast is best enjoyed immediately while warm.
However, leftovers can be stored:
  • In the fridge: Up to 1 day in an airtight container. Reheat in a pan or air fryer for best texture.
  • In the freezer: Wrap each stuffed toast in foil and freeze for up to 1 month. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) until warm.
